New Knowledge - Amazing New Knowledge!

Today I have learnt something amazing about the 100 dollar note!
I learnt that the man on the 100 dollar note was actually the man who split the atom and that he didn't do it for good reasons. He wanted to split the atom to find the pure white within it. 

Lord Rutherford wanted to erase all colour in skin. He wanted everybody to look white because he didn't like people of colour. Lord Rutherford enslaved people of Maori culture and also showed other acts of racism but he did split the atom so he was provided a spot on the New Zealand 100 dollar note.

Bringing In The Bucks!

Something pretty interesting I learnt about money this weekend was that if you don't have a job you can ask the government if you can go on a benefit. A benefit is money that the government gives you if you are poor, unemployed, have children or are really sick!

Benefits are when you don't have enough money to care for your children or yourself, or money you get that you can use to live with the essential needs like food and clothing. If you earn more than the maximum amount of money when you get a job your benefit gets taken away because you have enough money to survive already.

My charity is called the Pink Hearts charity.
It's not a real charity but I wish it was and I really want to start this charity when I am old enough.

Our Gorgeous Group Game

~Board Game~

When Mr Victor came over to our class to teach us on friday we made board games in pairs,

but Moni, Lexi, Skyla, and I decided we should work as a group so we set off on a journey into the depths of board game inspiration and we came up with a snakes and ladders with points kind of game...

We don't have an official image of our board game but I will update my blog with an official image soon! Lexi and I created another game that we call Candy Rush, It's still a work in progress but it's nearly done!

Graphics - Let's Decorate!

~Graphics!~

This tech lesson we all finished off our decorative names.

My friend Skyla helped me take this photo, sorry that it is a bit dark we took it on my chromebook.

What we did was sketched our names and after that we coloured them in and decorated them

with things that we think represent us. We also added colourful backgrounds, you can't see on mine, but I added Bronze coloured metallic Sharpie onto mine. I love going to tech and doing graphics!

Last week I did my homework on a google presentation slide.
It was loads of fun decorating it and being able to do my homework digitally, but I didn't get to do my spelling which is something I will try to finish and then update my slideshow.
