~Team Jaxxz~
I am Danielle. Above are the members of my project group, Team Jaxxz. We are part of the form class 9KME, which is the Akomanga Kaihanga Project-Based class. Our group is targeting Poverty and Homelessness in and around the streets of Auckland. We chose others in our community by basing our learning around this topic because we feel that much of the people around us and the community are struggling and are stuck in this situation. Our goal is to give them a voice and a second chance at life and a sustainable lifestyle.

Our group is targeting Poverty and Homelessness in and around the streets of Auckland. We chose others in our community by basing our learning around this topic because we feel that much of the people around us and the community are struggling and are stuck in this situation. Our goal is to give them a voice and a second chance at life and a sustainable lifestyle.
We have managed to action our project ‘Tamaki Drive’ where we sell food outside of the Whare Kai, and we are planning on holding another Tamaki Drive next week. We sell cupcakes, sausage sizzles and noodles with a cheaper price than what the tuck shop sells them for. We hope that with our project we are able to raise sufficient funds for us to donate to those living in poverty, or to hold a gathering in the Tamaki College auditorium to generate relationships with those in need or that are struggling. What I am feeling is hopeful. Our group is work going pretty good at the moment, and we’re already on our way to our next project.
