Movie Magic

Room 9's Magic School Bus movie took an entire term to create.

Our movie was really fun to make and we had a great time preparing, even though it was stressful.

Our film was about natural disasters, the 4 elements in our movie are GTS, Earthquakes, Floods, Volcanoes, and Hurricanes.

Making History in GTS!

Today it was the last day of school - Yay!
My friend Anaysha and I recieved the first ever orange PB4L bands, this means we made history in Glen Taylor School!

We took some pictures with our orange PB4L bands that we had recieved in the amazing principal's assembly.

Ready For The Big Bang!

~Volcano Painting~

This term, we have been working on changing landscapes, so for our end product for our inquiry, we created our paper mache volcanoes.

I have finished my paper mache volcano and painted it, but I haven't made it erupt yet.

This is my volcano...

I had a lot of fun making my volcano but I think that I could have even more fun making it erupt with baking soda and vinegar.

This week, my class made paper mache volcanoes.

Some of them are tall and some of them are short, but these are really fun to make.

My volcano is getting really big now and I want to show you what it looks like.

Today we had cross country and for a lot of people it was really challenging, 

one of those people were me!

Cross country was really long and was a lot of hard work, but at least everybody finished!

Measurement Activity

Last week we did a google drawing on measuremnt.

Our teacher gave us 14 activities to do - We measured 14 things and here is the google slide I

This was a really fun excersise even though we did some of it in the rain!

How tall is Room 9?

~Measuring Our Heights~

Today for maths instead of doing something like times tables, or division, we measured our heights with 1 metre rulers. It was loads of fun and we would like to show you what we've done.

Here are some photos of my friends and I measuring eachother.

Okay, maybe this measurement with Alanna was little inaccurate... We measured her at 176cm!

Oops, sorry Alanna!

Bridget and I had some funny moments when we were measuring each other.

A lot of times we got each other's heights wrong, this was the 7th time we measured Alanna!

This measurement was tricky, we used a ruler with no indication of if it were cm or mm!

This was loads of fun, even though we did most of the heights inaccurately!

Money, Money ...And More Money!

~Money Challenge!~

During the time we do maths in class, we played the money challenge!

The money challenge is when our teacher uses play/math money and we count it all up to get the total.

The first group that gets the correct total wins. We had a lot of fun playing this, but it was totally frustrating at the same time!

My goals for Term 3 ~

~My Goals For This Term~

This term I have 5 goals that I would like to achieve, and in the blog post I will be showing you all of them. These are my goals:

1. Finish most work on time - When I do my work, I usually don't finish all of it on time so I would like to start doing that so I have extra time to do other things.

 2.  Get to school earlier - Most of the time I come about 5 minutes after the class opens but I want to come earlier so that I can finish my quick write and still have extra time to do what I want.

3.  Get to a higher level in math - Currently I'm only at the level I'm supposed to be on in math, but I want to get to at least E7 in math.

4. Charging Chromebooks - Sometimes I forget to charge my chromebook and I don't have time to charge it, so I want to try to charge my chromebook everyday afterschool.

5. Homework - I want to do my homework on Mondays/Tuesdays instead of at the end of the week and being in a rush.
