Climate Change
danielle meredith

Currently, in Science class, we are working on Climate Change.
We researched five different people's views on Climate Change.

GRETA THUNBERG

Greta Thunberg is one of the most notorious climate activists. Greta Thunberg says that the world needs to learn the lessons of coronavirus and treat climate change with similar urgency. That means the world acting "with necessary force." She wants big companies to cut down on carbon emissions so we are able to sustain a healthy planet.

DONALD TRUMP

Donald Trump does not believe in climate change. In multiple tweets (majority from 2011-2012) he discredits the science behind climate change and promotes Climategate.

MARAMA DAVIDSON

Marama Davidson believes that climate change and environmental degradation are "deliberately perpetuated to benefit a few at the expense of the many, and at the cost of our planet.” Marama Davidson believes that climate change is real and is a big issue directly benefitting the richer and disadvantaging the poorer and more vulnerable. In the long run, not taking action on climate change means that we, as inhabitants of the earth, will all be greatly disadvantaged.

JACINDA ARDERN

Jacinda Ardern calls climate change “one of the greatest challenges of our time.” Jacinda agrees that climate change is a huge issue and needs to be dealt with immediately. Holding off on this would only cause further problems for our country and earth, so in 2020 she’d declared a climate change emergency and committed to a carbon-neutral government by the year 2025.

KIM KARDASHIAN

Jacinda Ardern calls climate change “one of the greatest challenges of our time.” Jacinda agrees that climate change is a huge issue and needs to be dealt with immediately. Holding off on this would only cause further problems for our country and earth, so in 2020 she’d declared a climate change emergency and committed to a carbon-neutral government by the year 2025.

Lab Safety - Science

~Lab Safety~

In science class we need to be careful with the equipment we're using.

We have to take extra precaution when working with equipment that belongs to the school!

Mr Malhotra had us create posters about safety in the lab, here is mine...

(My Group: Maya, Grace, Mary, Tiana)

Thank you for reading this blog post.

The World Of Science!

~Leonardo Da Vinci~

For science, each person in our class was allocated a famous inventor.
We had to find information about that scientist and make a presentation about them.
My famous inventor was Leonardo Da Vinci. Here is my presentation...

Science Article

~Science Article~

Last week our class was given an article to read about the states of matter.

We were told to highlight 10 - 15 words/phrases that relates to our focus (the states of matter) and we were also told to highlight 10-15 words/phrases that we found interesting.
Here is my presentation...

Science Exhibition!

~Science Exhibition~

This week our class has been creating tri-folds for our science projects.
We got put into groups of 4 - 5 and we found science experiments that we were interested in.
My group tried to make a snow mountain but it didn't work. Here are some pictures of our work!

Space Quiz

~Space Quiz~

For one of my activities in my independant science tasks,

I did a space quiz. I got most of my answers correct and I decorated it to look nice.

Here are my space quiz answers!
