Khan Academy - Lets Get Learning!

~Khan Academy~

Recently in class we have started working on a digital programme called Khan Academy.

Khan Academy gives you a couple of quizes then gives you a lesson plan that you follow through with when you log onto your account.

Khan Academy is what we use mainly for maths so we can learn, and use new skills!

Every week khan academy sends you a progress report telling you how much time you spent on certain activities, what you're close to achieving, and also how many energy points you earnt last week!

My Weird Weekend

~My Weekend~

On the weekend it was pretty weird and kind of boring.

I mostly played on my phone and made edits of Larray because he's one of my favourite people but I also went to DressMart and bought rugby boots, some ice cream, and my brother got McDonalds.

  

After we got some shopping from the DressMart outlet store done,

we went home and I just made more edits of Larray and eat some brownies that my mum made.

At night before I went to sleep I was playing on my phone making more edits of the famous person Larray and eating chips because I wasn't tired yet.

Bringing In The Bucks!

~Money~

Something pretty interesting I learnt about money this weekend was that if you don't have a job you can ask the government if you can go on a benefit. A benefit is money that the government gives you if you are poor, unemployed, have children or are really sick!

Benefits are when you don't have enough money to care for your children or yourself, or money you get that you can use to live with the essential needs like food and clothing. If you earn more than the maximum amount of money when you get a job your benefit gets taken away because you have enough money to survive already.

It was loads of fun decorating it and being able to do my homework digitally, but I didn't get to do my spelling which is something I will try to finish and then update my slideshow.

~A Little Bit About Me!~

Talofa Lava! My name is Danielle and I am a proud GTS room 13 student, welcome to my blog. I am a year 7 and it’s my first year in the senior syndicate. My teachers are Mrs Faalili and Whaea Pene. I am Samoan European and I have a passion for dance! My favourite subject in school is reading because I’m awesome at it. I would like to get to Stage 8 in maths this year by trying harder than I have before and studying every night. I am looking forward to having a new teacher this year. I am challenged in sports because I don’t really like doing athletic things. I am also challenged in maths because I don’t put as much effort into it as I do with Literacy. I’m very enthusiastic to wear my new senior uniform this year. My biggest inspirations are my families because they are always there for me and they all have different and magnificent abilities. The Tallest Tower! - Marshmellow and Spaghetti

Last week we made marshmellow and spaghetti towers.
The aim of the game was to build the tallest tower with your group only while only being able to use marshmellows and dry spaghetti.

We had lots of fun with this last week but unfortunately
my group lost because we didn't work together too greatly.
